mostly unseaborned at this point. there's a tiny bit of kelp in her hair still but whatever.

she checks Specter's room for her first thing in the morning, and then immediately sets out to find her when she doesn't find her there. so eventually, she comes upon her and kneels down to nudge her. ]

[ someone is Asleep. or at least she looks like it due to her eyes being closed. ]

Specter, you should know better than to come out here without an escort in your condition...

when she sets specter down, she'll find her awake—on some level, as her eyes are half-open and she's smiling gently at her. but even then, her gaze is unfocused (moreso than usual, perhaps&madsh;maybe it just looks like that with her eyes half-closed) and her smile is small, a ghost of an expression ]

[ on the surface she looks resting orca face but she's already mom's spaghetti ]

Specter, I found you collapsed outside near the box we retrieved your weapon from with oripathy medication and a piece of paper. Do you remember why?

[ sort of, blindly reaching up to touch her face, breath exhaled like a whisper ]

I am writing this message because I participated in a game where we were to choose one of the other cell blocks to protect from an attack and prevent from attacking. Due to the nature of the game, many members of Echidna were reticent to do this without knowledge on the moves of the other cell blocks. As the result of a deal, we were able to decide on protecting Bugbear in a bid to both prevent their deaths and nullify their assumed attack against Cerberus. A vote was held to make the final decision.

What follows is a record of every member of Echidna at this time and the actions taken in this game.

Akira: The first member of Echidna. Was alone for some time before our arrival. Difficult to speak to. He is a good person. Often particularly contrarian for no apparent reason, but not to any major detriment. Abstained from the vote, but part of our consideration of Cerberus was on his behalf.

Told me to remember that I am also a good person.

Fran: Akira's passenger. Has roughly the same attitude as his host. Despite what he says, he cares about Akira and the rest of us. Was the assistant for the game.

Jiang Yanli: She arrived with us. A hard worker who knows many people, and this knowledge is what led us to choose Bugbear in the hopes we would save two groups instead of just one. She is a good person. Voted for Bugbear despite her wishes to vote for Cerberus. Thanked me for my calmness.

Ishar-mla: Code name Orca. Also known as Skadi. This is me. I did not contribute much aside from a calm and unbiased viewpoint of the situation when asked. I also volunteered to help with cleaning up any messes left in the aftermath. Originally offered my voice for the deal as an alternative to death. I voted for Bugbear.

Laurentina: Code name Shark. Known as Specter to land dwellers. A fellow member of the Abyssal Hunters. Suffers from Oripathy. Was assumed KIA after our final battle in the sea along with everyone else present but myself, but was later found at Rhodes Island after being rescued from an Iberian church. She is usually "asleep", and takes on the role of a demure nun. During these times I have to watch over and take care of her. This is the opposite of her actual behaviour. She is often incredibly frustrating and insists on poking at my emotions, but she is a good person. I care about her a lot. She and the Captain are the only two people left like me. I was scared when she offered her ability to awaken. She voted for Bugbear.

Rean Schwarzer: He arrived with us, but was originally part of Cerberus. He is a good person. He is dying, and we will have to fight him until he is pacified as part of clean-up duty. He voted for Cerberus.

Gla-dia: Arrived shortly after us. Code name Swordfish. Also known as Gladiia. She is Shark and I's captain. Was assumed KIA after our final battle in the sea along with everyone else present but myself, but later arrived at Rhodes Island. She is harsh and unpersonable despite her politeness, but she is a good person. Does not like land dwellers. She voted for Bugbear.

Octopus: Pragmatic and practical. Comes off as a more personable version of the Captain, though I suspect this is just because I am not as familiar with him. Wanted to protect as many people as possible, and voted for Bugbear as a result. Will be dying. Possible hunt required.

Squid: We have not spoken very much, but he seems to be a man of principles. Lacks survival instinct. Values stories highly. Offered to throw himself on the pike ten times in a row. He voted for Tsuchigumo.

The Great Voidheart Witch: Real name Nessa Houghton. Overconfident, but that is what makes her charming. Almost as smart as she says she is. She is a good person. Her greatest dream is to awaken a fair maiden from an enchanted sleep with a kiss. Her complaints opened up the opportunity for us to make the deal. Offered to read stories for Shark and the Captain and I in the event I gave up my voice, to help keep us sane. Voted for Bugbear. Will be dying. Possible hunt required.

Helena: We have not spoken much, but she seems to be a good person. She is in over her head, and understands this fact implicitly. I wish she didn't have to deal with this. Possessed by a zombie, much like the ones we fought on our first day here.

Geto Suguru: Like Squid, he seems to be a man of principles. A clash between them due to this may be dangerous. Consumed easily by powerful emotions. Was unable to vote due to Fox taking over, but I imagine he would have voted for Cerberus.

Fox: Geto Suguru's passenger. Capricious. Voted for both Bugbear and Cerberus.

And that is all. I did not want to make this deal, but these people are the ones I must fight alongside and protect. To that end, I will do everything I can for them. They are an excellent group of people, and I know our bonds will not stay sundered for long. I think that we made the right choice.

I believe in us.
